Mango street language usage

imageThe way Sandra Cisneros uses language in her book “House on Mango Street” is interesting. This picture represents the scene where Ezperanza was being “raped” by her new coworker that she just met. Sandra uses imagery to decribe this scene. She writes “he grabs my face with both hands and kisses me hard on the mouth and dosen’t let go.” The imagery vividly gives us, the readers, a picture in our mind of an old man forcing a young girl to make out with him for  his birthday.
