This is an article that explains how students have the inability to distinguish fake news from real news. It states that this inability causes them to spread and share fake news with others. According to the article, 90% of students can’t determine whether a rumor is real or fake. This is absolutely absurd because 90% is way too high. For example, we did our own experiment in Ziebarth and only 25% of the class determined a rumor to be true. I think that kids today are more advanced and up to date with technology. They can obviously tell whether something is real or fishy. Kids today are clever and are less likely to get scammed. For example, all the kids today know the “click here to win a free iPad” is fake. All in all, the fake news that are spread around are easily indistinguishable by many students.
