For most people, cars are just a mean of transportation. Their sole purpose if to transport an object to another location. However, for other, they are life. Some people are interested in the hobby of cars. They often fine tune cars, trying to make it faster, or making it look good. This wallet swallowing hobby is fun and dangerous. Most car enthusiasts say that it is well worth the risk because cars are such a beautiful thing. I believe that the hobby of cars is obviously worth the risk. There had been many stories that involve multiple deaths during street races. However, the aesthetics of cars is just beautiful to look at. For example, my friend Alex’s car is an absolute beast while looking like a Miss Universe. Another controversial topic is that car enthusiasts often break the law. They recklessly drive, perform street races, donuts, and burnouts. However, I believe in the phrase, “it’s not illegal until you get caught.”

At spring fest, there were a large amount of people that emptied their wallets. Most clubs sold snack items such as Korean Barbecue or spam musubi. Other clubs sold drinks. These were expensive drinks such as boba. They required a lot of preparation and planning. My club, however, decided to sell bottled drinks. This was the greatest decision of my life because we didn’t have to prepare for anything. Other clubs spent more than five hours cooking and preparing their meals. My  club simply stopped by Costco to buy our drinks. Since we were the only club selling cheap and simple drinks, we got the most sales. At the end of the day, we sold out and made a profit of $300. It was out perfect plan to work smart and not hard. Our club had made  a big amount of profit without spending a lot of effort. The lesson of the day was to work smart, not hard.

Fpv Racing Quadcopter

This hobby is called Fpv racing Quadcopters. It is basically a drone with a camera attached to the front. You pair it up with goggles that portray the image of the camera. As a result, you can control the drone with the first person view, as if you were in the pilot seat. Recently, I’ve gotten into this hobby and been flying my drone around. It’s satisfying when you do perfect loops and fly at parks. Often, people are amused and always come to watch. They record and are awed. This is satisfying as a flyer. It is also delightful when you fly around because it gives you a sense of freedom. It helps relieve the stress that school gives me everyday.

Snowboarding

Over the weekend, I went snowboarding with my friends Tyler and Max. We went up with his boy scout troop and got a good discount. We only had to pay $60 for the ski lift ticket at Snow Valley Ski Resort. Upon arriving, it was fairly crowded. On my first run, Max took me to the highest ski lift without knowing. Because I was at the very top, I had to go all the way down. This was my first black diamond run and I went straight down. I fell a few times and hit the ground hard but it was part of the process of learning. It was extremely fun and I had a blast. The snow was great and surprisingly, it was 35 degree Fahrenheit. It got so hot that I was sweating from the multiple layers that I wore. This was a delightful experience for me and a wonderful time for me to improve upon my snowboarding skills.

This post delighted me. It showed how people tend to separate and divide themselves into different social classes. The author described the life of the rich and middle classes. He showed the luxury of both classes and how money flowed through society. I was extremely delighted when he also mentioned the fact that all the classes still went to the same school. No matter what class they were from, they still all ate in the same cafeteria. I admire how the author shows the different life styles but united them afterwards. He explains the property of the rich and the social life of all three classes. Even though each class had a different amount of money, they still had the same social life.

Budget Life

At the end of this month, I plan on going snowboarding with my friends. We have been told that the best and closest place to snowboard was Big Bear. However, we all know that snowboarding is costly and expensive. As a result, we always hold back from going. The lifting ticket is 64$ and the renting cost is about 34$. I thought that renting would be expensive if I went multiple times. As a result, I thought of a cheap alternative. I went hunting for used snowboards and boots online. This way, I can get high end gear for a great price. I targeted those rich people who mainly sold their used gear to people who would take care of it, rather than people who paid the most for it.Ultimately, I was able to save more money. I called this the budget life. I thought it was smart of me and a good solution for me, a broke high school student, to still be in the game with those rich kids.

Ultimate Budget Life

Above is my pair of glasses worth about $200. These are specially designed to handle high speeds and damage. Its reflective polar lens will protect your eye like no other glasses. In reality, these are just a pair of glasses that I bought off some China website for 2 dollars! They were extremely cheap and worth the price. This taught me a good lesson. Compared to the real $200 Oakleys, they are the same exact thing. The lens are the same. I learned that you are not always getting the price you payed for. These fake knockoffs do the same thing as the Oakleys and are about 200% cheaper. However, it is off brand. With great brand and reputation comes great prices.
